[Cancelled] CVS Vulcano Rosso

I have just short to say. I'm working a bit on spriting Vulcano Rosso from SFEX2 Plus to a conversion of CVS. I'm planning to have him as a Mugen char. I was inspired by Marancv for his tutorial. Here's a process of my work I just started.



What do you think of it? The very last on the right is incomplete. It's just my first start.

seems cool, I would like to see the finished sprite!

Somebody just showed me his shading of my sprite and I really like it. His shading looks pretty nice and I'll copy his shading after he made it. Here's Kojunho's shading for my sprite.

The sprite looks interesting, but that's not exactly CVS-styled shading.

It's OK, though.

I say tone down the orange palette a bit.
Its really bright compared to the rest of his body

Yeah. Toning shadeness and brightness is my weak spot. I'm struggling on that. I mostly get confused on using good colors for shading and lighting.

Look at other CvS sprites and palettes, then change the colors according to the char in question.

Do I have to look through other palettes? Let's say for example, if there's a Kyosuke black palette from Mugen, created by Warusaki, then I may grab the color palettes for his color, right?

Right. Check out how the colors change from shade to shade, then apply similar color values to the sprites you're making.
